Designer · Builder · Innovator · Founder, DIADI Innovations

Profile

Designer, builder and innovator, and founder of DIADI Innovations. Holds a Bachelor of Design (with Distinction) in Industrial Design from OCAD University and a Product Management certification from BrainStation. Works where research, strategy and craft meet: listening for the needs and system gaps people struggle to put into words, then turning ambiguous problems into validated, human-centred products and experiences across digital, physical and spatial contexts. Learns quickly in unfamiliar domains, from regulated energy operations to live broadcast production, and explains design decisions in language non-designers trust.

Experience

Founder

DIADI Innovations
2026 – PresentToronto, ON
  • Founded an innovation company that studies human motivation and emerging technology to build products that serve real human needs.
  • Leading its first venture, Abacus, from thesis prototype toward its first school pilots; developing The Gentleman's Corner, a cultural venture.

Design Intern

Little Inventors
Feb – Jun 2026United Kingdom (remote)
  • Turned a child's invention concept into a finished physical object, owning the whole path from sketch interpretation and material selection through fabrication and client handoff.
  • Chose accessible, low-cost materials (convertible wood, foam and felt), balancing fidelity, durability and manufacturability against a fixed brief and timeline.
  • Delivered the piece to the partner school in a live presentation framed around UN Sustainable Development Goal 14 (Life Below Water), pitched for a young, non-specialist audience.
  • Ran a fully remote, cross-border workflow: self-directed scheduling, progress tracking and asynchronous updates.

Fabrication Studio Monitor, Wood Studio

OCAD University
2024 – 2026Toronto, ON
  • Supported 200–250 students a week in a high-traffic fabrication facility, supervising up to 20 at a time in an active machining environment.
  • Certified under the Workers' Health & Safety Awareness program; trained and cleared students on the table saw, band saw, disc sander, jigsaw, router, drill press, and hand and power tools.
  • First responder for shop injuries and near-misses; wrote incident reports for technician review and kept documentation continuous in staff absence.
  • Coached students through prototyping, material preparation and build sequencing for coursework and thesis projects.

Brand Communications Lead

BALDOM International School
Jul 2024 – PresentRemote (Abuja, Nigeria)
  • Own brand and communications strategy for a school of 300+ students, from crèche to secondary, giving its priorities a consistent, trusted public voice.
  • Launched the school's Instagram and drove it from zero to 10,000+ engagements in the first 30 days, with follower growth compounding from week one.
  • Direct a four-person media team: assigning event coverage, setting production standards and teaching capture and editing.
  • Manage content across Instagram, Facebook and YouTube for prospective parents, current families and alumni.

Renewable Energy Technologies Research Intern

National Agency for Science & Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI)
Jul 2024Federal Capital Territory, Nigeria
  • Researched how renewable energy could address Nigeria's energy-poverty challenge, through site visits to NASENI's photovoltaic production plants and controlled materials-science lab sessions.
  • Worked with engineers to assess innovations and map pathways toward a locally powered, sustainable energy future.
  • Wrote a life-cycle analysis report proposing more efficient methods of power generation, transmission and storage.
  • Developed "Eco-Lagos", a concept for transforming Africa's most congested city into a greener, more sustainable urban environment.

Field Operations Intern

TotalEnergies
Summer 2022Lagos, Nigeria
  • Onboarded quickly into a highly regulated, safety-critical energy environment with strict procedural and compliance constraints.
  • Supported several teams with competing priorities, adapting communication for technical and administrative stakeholders, and documented operational processes across field and office.

Selected projects

Abacus · Classroom engagement system

Capstone thesis, OCAD University
2026
  • Designed an end-to-end system that closes the feedback gap between students and teachers, letting students signal confusion or understanding in real time without social exposure.
  • Chose Bluetooth over Wi-Fi to link device and software, an accessibility decision that makes it deployable in low-connectivity schools worldwide.
  • Architected parallel teacher and student experiences in Figma from one research foundation: information architecture, user flows and low- to mid-fidelity wireframes.
  • Tested with 10+ target users over three to four rounds; exhibited at GradEx, OCAD University's graduate exhibition.

CompanionLink · Product strategy lead

BrainStation capstone
2026
  • Led a five-person cross-functional team from an ambiguous problem statement to a validated product roadmap.
  • Ran generative research and competitive analysis across four competitor categories to define a defensible value proposition.
  • Facilitated personas, MVP scoping and backlog prioritisation; wrote OKRs and a success-metrics framework; presented the strategy to a panel of industry evaluators.

CF Eaton Centre · Place-based retail experience

Cadillac Fairview × OCAD University
2024
  • Worked in a six-to-seven person team, directly with an external client, to reimagine the in-centre retail experience for today's shoppers.
  • Mapped customer journeys and designed spatial navigation and brand interaction across physical and digital touchpoints.
  • Presented concepts and rationale to Cadillac Fairview in a live client presentation, translating design decisions into commercial language.

Leadership & service

Communication Lead

GradEx 111, Industrial Design Committee, OCAD University
2026
  • Led communications on a seven-person committee delivering the Industrial Design cohort's exhibition, from first proposal through a five-day public show.
  • Pitched an unconventional exhibition format to the Dean of Design, a Vice-President, the Head of Industrial Design and senior faculty, and won their support.
  • Secured a new exhibition building by making the case to reallocate institutional funding and resources.
  • Curated 50+ exhibition spaces for about 90 graduating students and directed media documentation across the run.

Leader

InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, OCAD University
2024 – 2026
  • Led the campus chapter for two years, including registration, renewal and representing the group at university meetings.
  • Secured and administered event grants: budgets, procurement and reconciliation.
  • Produced large community events such as Waffle Nights, drawing 1,000+ people and serving 500+ waffles in a night.
  • Planned cross-campus outreach with Toronto Metropolitan University and Carnegie Mellon University.

Head of Media & Event Technician

Christ Embassy
Oct 2022 – Present
  • Lead a volunteer team of six to eight delivering live multi-camera production and multi-platform streaming every week.
  • Built the team's onboarding and training programme from scratch.
  • Run and troubleshoot ATEM switchers, Canon cameras, OBS, OpenLP and YouTube Studio live under broadcast conditions; oversee post-production and distribution.

Undergraduate Representative

Senate Student Appeals Committee, OCAD University
2024 – 2026
  • Represented undergraduate interests in formal appeals, weighing evidence against policy to reach documented, defensible outcomes.

Global Youth Ambassador

Education Development Foundation for Excellence (E.D.F.E.)
2023 – Present
  • Represent the foundation's youth and education work in Sub-Saharan Africa, running listening sessions so programmes rest on real, stated needs.
  • Helped deliver COVID-19 health education to an internally displaced persons camp in Abuja, working with translators to put guidance into plain Hausa.
  • Coordinated food and learning materials to sustain nutrition and schooling during restricted movement.
